Hawaii's Spirits & Legends: Possession

lopaka kapanui_blur.jpg

Lopaka returns to Doris Duke Theater to tell stories about Hawai‘i's spiritual realm.

This month's theme is POSSESSION!

In the Hawaiian language, the word "Noho" means possession of a medium by a spirit or a god. It also means to possess or to be possessed.

You've heard of demonic possessions and have most likely seen a movie or two about the subject. Now come and hear true accounts of people who have been possessed and find out how common, everyday objects end up becoming possessed themselves.

General Admission, $15
Museum Members, $12

Make your reservations through Doris Duke Theater, HERE.
